The Road Less Traveled

Robert Frost:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I   -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I came to know the poem long time ago while I was still a student. I found the concept great because it's boring to go the path many have already went. So, I agreed with it.

Later on, I had a chance to do what the poem says. Then, I came to know how hard it is to do. I allowed me to contemplate it a whole year.

Your Thoughts Create Your Future

If you want to change your life, you need to change your thoughts. It sounds so simple and it is simple. But not always easy.

It is not easy because our thoughts are habitual. We don't really control our thoughts. Rather, we are controlled by our own thoughts. It is said that we have 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts everyday. And almost of them are the same as yesterdays. Our thoughts are very repetitive.

Thanksgiving - Sorry for Turkeys

Homo Sapiens has been doing well for the last 300,000 years since its emergence.

It is astonishing to know that humans have evolved so much compare to other creatures on the planet. And there must have been a lot of sacrifice for humans to come to this point.

Sacrifice includes not only for humans but other sentient beings. Turkeys are the ones specifically in this season of thanksgiving.

Isn't it about time to evolve further than that?

When Was The Last Time?

As we get older, life seems a bit boring. The reason is not the age but infrequent chance of meeting new experiences.

"When was the last time you did something for the first time?"

Unless you consciously choose to do new things, your life is getting boring for sure. So, do whatever you want to do without worrying about failure or humiliation.

Why Does Music Make Us Cry?

It seems strange to cry when listening to music. It's just sounds, isn't it?

Sound seems to have so much power on human psyche.  It causes many emotions in humans at the very deep level. It is not language but surely has ability to communicate with human mind.

Someone creates certain patterns of sounds. Another plays it. Audience listens to it. All of them seem to share the similar emotions with the music. They all share the same emotions, which is real communication or commune.

Everybody has negative thoughts from time to time. Often times, we are dragged by them. What to do?

Jim Kwik shows us what to do in four steps, Acknowledge, Breath, Release, Align - ABRAkatabra!

Basically, he says to have space between you and your negative thoughts. You don't just ignore. You acknowledge it. Yet, you are not involved in it. Then, shift your attention from what you don't want to what you want.

The Law Of Vibration - The Same Frequency

Whenever I listen to the song, I cannot help dropping tears. I cannot stop listening one more time.

I don't know why exactly and the only explanation is the vibration. I am strongly attracted to the frequency. I just cannot ignore it.

These kind of things cannot really be explain to those who don't have the similar experience. So, I won't. You know what I mean if you have the similar experience. Words are sometimes useless.

Presence - What Is It?

The last August in Denver at the TI convention, I met a speaker who had a strong presence on stage. I felt it. I felt her presence so big. So, I liked her as a speaker. However, I didn't know what exactly presence mean. I couldn't explain what presence was.

Eckhart Tolle's explanation solved my problem. Presence is presence of consciousness as I now understand it. That's why it is so powerful.

Peaceful Mind - Calmness of Mind

"Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom." - James Allen

Whatever happens, you keep the calmness of mind. You are in peace. You are in control in turmoil. That's powerful. Not easy though.

If you resit to what happens, you are not able to be in peace. Your mind shouts and cries. Your mind tries to change what happens. Your mind starts thinking about the cause. Your mind starts searching who to blame.

Real Teachers

Osho is one of my favorite teachers. He is such a rebel and so powerful. He doesn't teach in a way  so called teachers do. He facilitates an environment where students learn by themselves.

I heard that Albert Einstein said a similar thing. “I never teach my pupils, I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.”

Probably, my style would be similar to them.
