All of us want to live better life and not everyone succeeds. I think one of the key factors here is our belief. How we see ourselves and the world defines how we act. And the actions we take alter the reality we live in. It sounds very simple. And it is.
If you have a belief that your life doesn't get better for whatsoever reasons, probably it won't because you don't take any action on it. To do something, you need to change the belief first. Unless changing your beliefs, you don't change your actions. You may think there is no guarantee that your life gets better after taking some actions. That's true. But there is always possibilities once you take actions.
We tend to believe that our environments, circumstances, situations are somehow fixed and we cannot do anything about them. Maybe it is because we have such experiences before, trying to change situations in vain. But this time can be different. Without trying, you don't know.
You may know a story about a baby elephant. A baby elephant is tied to a chain and it starts believing that escape is impossible. Once this belief is planted in its mind, no chain is needed to keep it from escaping. Because the elephant doesn't even try to escape anymore. Kind of a sad story but the same thing is happening to most of us.
So, what kind of beliefs do you have? Do they serve you or do they drag you?
