"We live in two worlds, inner world and outer world at the same time", said John Kehoe. In our inner world, there are thoughts and feelings. In our outer world, there are circumstances, environments, and conditions.
I read a book long time ago in which the author wrote the sentence, 'There is no world outside'. I don't remember the title nor the author's name of the book. But the sentence has been stuck with me since then up until now.
Then finally, I feel I have deciphered the meaning of the sentence.
The third hurdle to solve the puzzle of life is persistence. You overcome fear and doubt at the beginning. Then, you started taking actions toward manifesting your ultimate dream. But you don't see any significant progress after doing the things. That's when persistence is needed.
The biggest hurdle to solve the puzzle of life is that we don't have a long term vision. From our own perspective, we were born abruptly and our primarily objective is to survive, which is the standard for all animals. But we are human beings at the same time. What we need is a long term vision.
The moment we are born, we know nothing about the world. Then, we start our journey to figure out what it is. At the beginning, we simply follow our parents because they are the only guidance available. But later, we find that our parents don't necessarily know well either.
Risk is something we want to avoid in life. We don't like risk because it is a potential of danger, failure, and mistake. However, risk is also a potential of opportunity, discovery, and expansion.
There are only two options. Love or fear. If you choose love, your life gets better. If you choose fear, then your life gets worse. It's that simple.
