We rarely think about or talk about death. We all know it comes to us at some point. It is not a pleasant topic to talk or think about. However, it is important to keep it in mind.
It is true that we cannot do anything fundamentally about our death or mortality. Only thing we can do is to change the way we live. And that is the benefit of keeping death in mind.
I often think of my mortality these days. I thought it is unhealthy at beginning. But now I think it is healthy thing to think it. It gives me a kind of urgency feeling. It gives me a chance to evaluate the meaning of what I am doing. It reminds me of the miracle of being alive.
