Compare to the whole scheme of the universe, we are nothing. What we do doesn't matter at all.
Even if the earth is destroyed, it's nothing from the viewpoint of the universe. You and I would be affected hugely as humans on this planet though.
Once realizing the humongous picture of the universe, you want to do whatever you want to do. It's nothing. Failure, success, health, danger, good relationship, bad relationship. Nothing matters to the universe.
We live for a very short time. Only one hundred years or so. Why not doing what you want to do? This is a tiny life for the universe and you are free from anything. Do whatever you want to while you are still breathing.
