"We live in two worlds, inner world and outer world at the same time", said John Kehoe. In our inner world, there are thoughts and feelings. In our outer world, there are circumstances, environments, and conditions.
I read a book long time ago in which the author wrote the sentence, 'There is no world outside'. I don't remember the title nor the author's name of the book. But the sentence has been stuck with me since then up until now.
Then finally, I feel I have deciphered the meaning of the sentence.
Mind is not a thing but activities. And you are not your mind just same as you are not your body. So, what are you? This is a tough question to be answered.
"Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes." - James Allen
Once we get the truth that the ultimate cause of our results is always ourselves specifically our mind, things get much simpler. Here is how it works. Your mind is the cause of your actions. And your actions are the cause of your results. So, it is better to know more about what mind is.
To get preferable results for our life, we first need to know the law of laws, which is 'cause & effect'. It simply says there is cause before effect. In other words, things don't just happen. If we understand the relation between a certain cause and effect, we can take advantage of it. We can create preferable results in our lives not by chance but by design. It sounds really great, doesn't it?
"What you believe about yourself and the world shapes your reality." - Kelly Howell
All of us want to live better life and not everyone succeeds. I think one of the key factors here is our belief. How we see ourselves and the world defines how we act. And the actions we take alter the reality we live in. It sounds very simple. And it is.
I had been studying English as my second language for a long time. Yet, I feel so much frustration with my English. Compare to my mother tongue, English is still foreign to me. So, I took a radical action last year. I made English my first language. Living in a non English speaking country, this is an ultimate choice for me.
"Would you change your language?"
This is a strange question. I know. Why would anyone want to change one's language? It is true that many are interested in studying foreign languages as a second language or such. But few would change one's language.
"Which languages will dominate the future?"
This question is fascinating. Everybody wants to keep one's language. But do you think yours is going to survive?
The third hurdle to solve the puzzle of life is persistence. You overcome fear and doubt at the beginning. Then, you started taking actions toward manifesting your ultimate dream. But you don't see any significant progress after doing the things. That's when persistence is needed.
