Thanksgiving - Sorry for Turkeys

Homo Sapiens has been doing well for the last 300,000 years since its emergence.

It is astonishing to know that humans have evolved so much compare to other creatures on the planet. And there must have been a lot of sacrifice for humans to come to this point.

Sacrifice includes not only for humans but other sentient beings. Turkeys are the ones specifically in this season of thanksgiving.

Isn't it about time to evolve further than that?
In advanced countries, food is abundant. It isn't beautiful to kill living creatures to eat. It is not a sacrifice but commodity these days. Do we still need to kill them? Because it is tasty?

If Homo Sapiens really is "wise man", I think we can go beyond old conditioning of killing other creatures for food. Someone said, "as far as we kill animals, we kill humans too". I agree with the idea. Do you?
