It seems paradoxical that if you really want to live, you need to be ready to die. In other words, if your focus is survival, probably you cannot really live. You need to trade your life with what you really want to do.
It's OK in a movie but what about our real life? Do we need to die for something? The answer is "no" in a literal sense, but "yes" psychologically. Most of us are living in a world where we can still survive physically whatever you do.
One of the barriers is conformity. We want to live like others do. It is comfortable to do so. There is much less risk in that way. It is what your parents and teachers teach you.
The opposite way of living is to be a rebel. It is a tough way. Everybody else around you opposes you. You are alone. Then, who wants to be a rebel?
So, do you want to live for nothing? Or, do you want to die for something? It's a choice we all must make at some point in our lives.
