| As we get older, life seems a bit boring. The reason is not the age but infrequent chance of meeting new experiences. "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" Unless you consciously choose to do new things, your life is getting boring for sure. So, do whatever you want to do without worrying about failure or humiliation. |
Ten years or so passed and my desire to play the piano came back again. In my mid forties, my younger son showed interest in playing the piano and my wife and I agreed to put him in a piano school. And I thought it was a great chance for me to buy a piano for both me and him. So, I bought one. It's a digital piano though. He liked the piano but disliked lessons. Within several months, he quit going to the lessons. The piano became for me only. I practiced from the basics. I was fascinated by the fantastic sounds the piano created. It was totally new experience for me.
Several years passed and I totally forgot about playing the piano. I even moved my piano to my son's room a few years ago. Then, suddenly I wanted playing the piano again. I found a new piano teacher on the Internet and found one. The excitement of doing new things comes back to me. It is refreshing. It is up-lifting.
Try new things is the only way to create a new life. Don't be old. Start something new!
